Either the pump is going out or it could be time to change fuel filters. Be sure and use a good (LUCAS) fuel injector cleaner as injectors can get clogged with a single grain of sand. Not enough info on this car to know if it`s a manual fuel pump or in the tank. I`m assuming it`s in the tank.

2005 Cadillac having problems starting after turning it off

Check for codes,check fuel pressure,
look at oxygen sensor data

Look at freeze frame data

Check fuel trim on start up & see what long term trim tells you

May be running rich all the time

Need professional help

Stop using it & resolve ALL issues

Get caught up on your Preventative Maintenance

Maybe you bought it ten years ago & never opened the hood since

That's what most folks do

Spark plug don't last or work for 100,000 miles, as some believe

Ignition Coils fail about at 6 to 8 years

Every 3 years i change my plugs, has nothing to do with mileage

Sounds like a failing fuel pump that drains down when shut off
& the fuel rail doesn't hold pressure

You don't frequent a repair shop or spend time chit chating
at one, to learn anything or use the internet to study vehicle systems?

How about those oxygen sensors that get replaced at 100,000 miles?

Truck would not excellerate pas ten miles now it wont start. when i play with the fuel restart button it starts rough and dies

See there were several postings. Was internal fuel tank screen good when pump was changed? Was disposable fuel filter changed? I had similar problems and it turned out that the internal filter screen broke apart and clogged the fuel lines.

The crankshaft sensor was also bad as fuel pump was tested during internal tank filter work.

Also check your injector wires. Even having fuel pressure is nothing if the injectors are not opening to let fuel into the cylinders.

2004 cavalier stalled on highway wont start

DEFINITELY change the filter...It's only about ten times past its useful life. Then check fuel pump, pump relay and fuse. (doubt if you'll have to!!)

1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Fuel Pump

check the connector to the fuel pump for corrosion or loose pins, the fuel pumps of newer cars and trucks are designed to last at least 100,000 miles, when the new pumps quit did u verify they had power to them?
