Try unbollting the EGR valve and see if it is blocked try starting the car with it slightly unbolted and pulled away from the engine if it runs then the EGR is blocked remove it and clean it out!

just because. the glow plugs are new, does not mean they work correctly, not at all. (yes, they can have weak or now power to them)
1: glow plugs work. really.
2: fueling correct. (fuel filter new, ?)
3: hearty battery and starter cranks nice and fast.

Ford 03 6.0L Excursion wont start when cold

You need to start with your glow plug circuit. There is a glow plug module that is the most likely culprit. You need to get a circuit tester and when the another person turns the key, you verify whether or not you have voltage to glow plug on the engine itself. If not the control module will have to be replaced. The glow plug control module is on the right hand side and front of the engine. Let me know what else you may need.

Car wont start diesel engine Could it be the 'glow plug'? what is a glow plug? how can i test?

A glow plug is a small heating element in the cylinder. It heats the diesel so that starting can be made easy. Is your car standing in the open frozen parking If yes, then it would require a lot of battery power to first heat all the cylinders and then turn the engine to start. What we do in such conditions is to light up some fire under the car and heat the fuel system enough for the diesel to warm up a little and thus save the battery for glow plugs. Generally, all vehicles have an indicator light which comes on when the glow plugs are ready for starting. The diesel will ignite on compression, but it has to reach the cylinder and thus has to be flowing. In cold it freezes and hence the need for glow plugs and the heat. If it is parked in heated parking then the need for glow plugs decreases.

Engine check light on, code P0380, glow plug circuit. What to check.

first check glow plugs resistance values, sorry but i cannot tell you what they are supposed to be at offhand.

if the values are correct then you may need to replace the wiring harness which connects to the glow plugs.

more likely to be the plugs themselves though

Golf 1.9 tdi wont start :-(

Sounds like you have a bad glow plug relay that could cause a power spike and drain your battery,it could also take away power to the fuel pump causing the loss of power.Hope this helps you out some!!

You need to check the glow plug system. Check for power from the glow plug relay.
