Question about 1983 Plymouth Reliant
I take the battery terminal off so it wont run it dead, the digital clock on the inside flashes around when driving
Unhook the digital clock & see if you still have battery drain. If not, that is your problem

the MAP or Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor is just one of the components that send signals to the on-board computer.fault codes are stored and can be 'read' with a diagnostic tool.or by using a key on, key off sequence described in detail in a repair manual.

first check to see if the supintine belt is tight next take the car to a local parts store to have the alternator tested in the car if boyh are good then the powerstearing pump is a possible problem seeings how it shuts off while turning. but its probably a bad belt. if the belt looks good with no cracks thgen tighten the belt(s) and see if it still does it

You're right; It sounds like fuel delivery, but start with the simplest suspects first.
Change the fuel filter(s) first, and if this doesn't get it, go for the fuel pump.
