What are the effects of a faulty crank sensor on a nissan QG18 engine

what a great question!
no year told, no country , no car told just raw engine
QG18 comes in many types QG18DD,,1999 to 04
QG18DE, 1999 to 2007 QG18DEN is the natural gas version?

lacking all key facts.
I go GENERIC (full bore)

the answer is super simple..
causes spark misfire. (and scanned PCM see P03xx errors DTC)

loss of engine horse power. and wasted fuel.
or engine dead. fully and no spark at ALL.

why worry it at all.??? if scans are clean this is it if CKP does not trip CKP errors DTC

must we guess all of these and if yes why?
and more,

The QG18DE is used in the following vehicles:
the CKP and CMP sensors are the base line inputs for all spark and fuel injections and timing and timing advance of spark
if spark dies the PCM cuts all fueling dead( no crash&burns)

Nissan Frontier 2005 diesel car slows intermittently when accelerating take the foot of and back on the accelerator and it works again any ideas

When was the last time it was serviced? I had this issue on a different car and it turned out to be a 'Very' dirty fuel filter. Bad quality 'cheap' fuel or some types of 'Bio' diesel can cause similar problems.
Lifting your foot lets the fuel pump catch up supplying fuel.
This is also a reasonably cheap fix.

Nissan sunny 2005 acceleration not working .. car is started but but rpm is low .. it shows engine symbol light...

First thing to do is have the codes read with a scan tool. Many auto parts stores will do this for free.

all of a sudden my 2005 Altima will crank forever but not start. after pumping the accelerator 15-20 times it started and ran fine. next time I tried to start it the same thing happened. I thought maybe fuel filter because when the guy filled it up last time, he filled it to the top. check engine light is on now too, I think code 0335? crankshaft position sensor. does that sound right?

Nissan Installed throttle reprogram

Here is the way to do it without the nissan scan tool. Make sure to follow all steps and it it best if you use a watch with a second hand.
1. Perform "Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning".
a. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
b. Turn ignition switch 'ON' and wait at least 2 seconds.
c. Turn ignition switch 'OFF' wait at least 10 seconds.
d. Turn ignition switch 'ON' and wait at least 2 seconds.
e. Turn ignition switch 'OFF' wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Perform "Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning" .
a. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
b. Turn ignition switch 'ON'.
c. Turn ignition switch 'OFF' wait at least 10 seconds.
Make sure that throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound. 3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Check that all items listed under the topic 'PREPARATION' (previously mentioned) are in good order.
5. Turn ignition switch 'OFF' and wait at least 10 seconds.
6. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch 'ON' and wait 3 seconds.
7. Repeat the following procedure quickly five times within 5 seconds.
a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal.
b. Fully release the accelerator pedal. 8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the MIL stops blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the MIL goes off.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11. Wait 20 seconds.
12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure that idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications.
13. If idle speed and ignition timing are not within the specification, the result will be incomplete. In this case, more test needs to be done.
