Question about 1988 Mazda B2600 Cab Plus
Cam timing doesn't perform very well
Sounds like the valve lash needs to be set. You should have heard ticking coming from the engine. This can be adjusted by removing the valve pan covers and adjusting the tappets. If you over tighten it will burn a valve, if under adjustment a loss of power. Better to have a bit too much clearance than too little. Best to check when engine is warm. The lobes of the cam could be worn but I have my doubts.

SOUND LIKE FUEL PUMP DAMAGED BECAUSE LACK OF FUEL. FUEL IN TANK.FUEL KEEP FUEL PUMP COOL AND LUBRICATED IF FUEL TANK GET TOO LOW OR EMPTY CAUSE FUEL PUMP OVER HEAT DAMAGE.
