Sounds like the valve lash needs to be set. You should have heard ticking coming from the engine. This can be adjusted by removing the valve pan covers and adjusting the tappets. If you over tighten it will burn a valve, if under adjustment a loss of power. Better to have a bit too much clearance than too little. Best to check when engine is warm. The lobes of the cam could be worn but I have my doubts.

93 marvie only got 2nd a d3rd gear sumo told me was hold button problem is that rite.I think gearbox problem


if the gear box is performing with out noises then it will not be the box
run the fault codes first or take it to an accredited transmission specialist shops for more opinions as the fix can be cheap

How to fix the faulty code p0012 for 2003 mazda demino


code p0012 refers to the camshaft position (CMP) intake left front bank 1-timting over retarded/ system performance---causes---valve timing, engine mechanical fault CMP actuator wiring. To have the valve timing out it has to be the cmp actuator as the valve timing will not alter unless there is a failure in the variable actuator on the end of the cam shaft. I suggest you consult a mazda specialist mechanic to explain the workings of the cam shaft

I ran my 1992 mazda marvie proceed out of fuel and suspect that the carb and injectors may be blocked, have replaced fuel filter but it still wont run or idle.Need to know how to strip and clean carb, etc

I don't know if this will help those b2600 owners, mine was a 92 automatic, it use to have all sorts of problems similar to like rough idling, stalling after it ran for a couple of minutes. Changed fuel pump and filter but did not help.Running out of idea so I removed the ECM (computer) and noticed a blown capacitor (ECM at passenger side kick panel). Goggled the ECM number and found out it is a common issue to that ECM built by Mitsubishi, common to Mazda and Mitsubishi cars and trucks on certain model years. Working fine now for almost a year after I sent it out for repair.
