Question about 2000 Jeep Cherokee

Turn signal problem

I have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport. My problem is in the turn signal arera. When I use my signal left or right the signal will stay on for about 2 or 3 clicks then cut out. I replaced the turn signal unit and still have the same problem. Could it be a fuse or flasher problem? any help would be greatly appreciated!

What do you mean the turn signal unit? The turn signal switch?

The flasher could be bad, since it is common to right & left circuits.

Grounding of the right & left bulbs could cause problems also,

Could be the fuse, try changing it, its the cheapest thing to do to diagnose the problem as a fuse will run you a couple dollars at most, so you should try replacing the fuse before anything else to fix the problem...

How to fix my right brake light and fast moving turn signal on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The most likely problem is two burned out light bulbs. A burned out tail/stop lamp on the right side and a burned out brake lamp on the left. If you have already replaced the bulbs, then yes, the circuit boards are the next most likely cause of the problem.

Flasher or turn signal switch

Make sure the relay is plugged in all the way. When I replaced mine it was taped in and the new one wouldn't stay in without a little bit of duct tape.

Turn signal sometimes flashes both rear turning lights

I would check the flasher due to the fact that is where power is being sent to to send out intermit voltage to the rear lamps. check for open or groundin wires
