If this is not working on the right side and is OK on the left side then one of the indicator lamps on the right side has blown out. The reduced load on the right hand indicators causes the flasher can to flash faster. Try turning on the hazard switch then walk around your car to see which lamp has blown out.
if your hazzards flash, that means your bulbs will be good but, your turn signal fuse is blown. you should check that first, & don't forget to turn off your hazzards before you can see if your turn signals work again. give it a try.
look for the hazzard /4 ways switch. see if this is where this ticking is coming from. if so slowly move the turn signal switch . if it stops or changes, you have a bad turn signal switch. the hazzard and the turn signals operate through the hazzard switch..it has a built in relay.hope this was helpful
There are several possibilities, but an easy one would be to try replacing the flasher, assuming it is the same one for both. It just plugs into the fuse box.
wouldn`t hurt to have a look at the flasher unit, hazzard light are adifferent unit .you may even be able to see where it hasbeen getting hot------------ adios-ben
I could not tell you how many times people have brought their cars into my shop and tell me that they had already checked all fues and they are OK, then I check the car and find a blown fuse or a fuse that is completely missing.
Your dash (Instrument Cluster) illumination lights are powered by the "PARK LP" fuse in the underhood fuse panel - it is fuse number 37 and should be a 20 Amp fuse. If this fuse is blown, your Park lights on the exterior of the car will also not be working. If they are working and your dash lights are not, then the problem is probably in your headlamp switch.
Your Brake lights are powered by the "STOP LAMP" fuse in the instrument panel (IP) fuse block it is a 15 Amp fuse.
Your Hazzard lights are powered by the "HAZZARD" fuse in the (IP) also a 15 Ap fuse.
If both of these fuses are good, then the most likely problem with your brake and hazzard lamps is the multifunction (Turn Signal) switch.
What any of the above has to do with replacing your window regulators remains a mystery.
Probably the turn signal switch assembly. This is a common problem with the older Fords. The switch is a self contained unit at a cost of about $100.00.
