SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Blazer, car will crank but not start.

it could be a fuel pump they are quite common on the chevy trucks and SUV's. If it has a "Vortec" engine which it probably does, they run whats called a poppet nozzle fuel injecter that requires i think no less than abaout 53 psi of fuel pressure to run, you would have to put a fuel pressure guage on it to be sure and they are quite expensive

SOURCE: I have a 96' chevy

Assuming you have everything reinstalled correctly and the fuel pump was your problem to start with, try disconnecting the battery for at least 15 minutes to reset the computer. This worked on my 1996 Blazer.

Van no start

The fact that it starts if you spray it indicates that you have a fuel problem. Either out of gas, low fuel pressure, fuel pump issue.

I have a 1995 Toyota tacoma w/ the 2.4 L four cyl. It will not start just turns over. The fuel pump comes on relay clicks but it just turns over. Sprayed starter fluid in the intake and it sputtered. Any...

Check for a spark first, double check fuel pump is running and actually "hums" when you prime the motor. Check fuel filter, clogged fuel filter could be the culprit and explain why it sputterred with starter fluid but wont run without. Good luck.

1994 volkwagen golf, only starts when starter fluid sprayed into air intake. After starts runs fine. after warmed up, still doesn't start without fluid

Is this a diesel? If so it could be fuel filters because that is classic signs of a fuel filter needing changed.

1996 VW Jetta wont start

Check to see if it's getting gas or spray some starter fluid into intake. If it fires, change fuel filter first and try it without starter fluid. If it doesn't start then change fuel pump.

Won't start running or start by itself

i just had thhis problem myself on my could be a few things... check the fuel filter of course, then if thats not it...on the left side of the engine on the injector fuel rail there is a fuel regulator with a vaccum line attached to it... remove that and plug the vaccum line and see if that helps, if it does you have poor fuel pressure and need to flush your injectors...or fuel pump and if that doesnt work try wiggling your distributor, it worked for me... good luck
