To check mounts, (automatic cars) Have someone hold the brake and step on the gas at the same time. (DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF CAR) Watch what is allowing movement and change those parts.

You need to be looking for lower transmission mounts NOT rear engine mounts. (tell the a**hole mechs to ... well you know).

If they are both the same size engine, I would think they would interchange.
A salvage yard could probably tell you for sure, they have those reference books.

1989 Dodge Dynasty won't start after storage, can you help?

Have someone stand near the back, and listen for the fuel pump while you are attempting to start the vehicle. If there is no sound from the pump, it may be bad- A typical problem with tank mounted pumps after long-term storage. If there is fuel pressure, check for spark at one of the spark plugs. If it has fuel and spark, but still does not start, you will probably need a technician to look it over. Good luck, hope you get it going!

1989 dodge dynasty v6, fwd, transaxle 3 speed auto, good condition, experiencing shift problem, doesnot want to shift into passing gear, sometimes it does, right now it doesn't, any takers

most auto trans don't shift into reverse when low. Reverse takes the most fluid of all the gears.
Check for a bad shift solenoid or wires to and from that circuit. Most trans-axles have them now.

Bracket on top is for rely. You need to remove the 2 screws on clinode, battery cable ( first thing) and either 2 on engine block trans housing . You should be able to push starter up and move it around exhaust a little without removing anything else. Tight fit

1989 dodge dynasty sticks in 2nd gear and releases only after you stop and shut the engine off, could that be a faulty speed sensor ?

If it has overdrive could be a problem with trans. Had a 89 voyager that did same thing it goes to 2nd gear as they call it a" limp home mode." that was a common problem with 89 trans

1990 dodge dynasty 3.3 engine starts fine but a second later dies changed gas filter and fuel pump and regulator still don't stay started.

Same thing happened to my '89 Dynasty. Turns out the security system was engaged and this stops the motor from running; therefore. a thief cannot drive away with the car! The system is set by using the power locks or an autolock fob, but not by locking manually. Disconnecting the battery will also engage the security system. To disengage, close the driver or passenger (front) door and turn the key in the lock.
