SOURCE: Will not start. 03 PT Cruiser (4-spd NOT Turbo)

Yes replace the battery temp sensor as per the error code p0516 showing up.The battery temperature sensor is located under the vehicle battery and is attached (snapped into) a mounting hole on battery tray. The sensor is located under the battery on drivers side of vehicle. The ABS battery tray will need the left and right edge lips ground off to allow the 10 inch long battery to sit in the tray. The tray should be retained so that the battery temperature sensor will continue to function. ---------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

SOURCE: 2005 PT Cruiser showing P0456 and P0522. Cranks but wont start.

The sensor that is most likely causeing the problem is the low oil pressure sensor. It is telling the cpu that you have a problem that unless you correct it, the motor will suffer serious damage from insufficient lubrication.Have the oil pressure checked with a manual gauge then replace the sensor unit if faulty.

SOURCE: What is check engine code P0404 on a 2005 Chrysler Pasifica Touring?

The P0404 is EGR Position Sensor Performance. Changing the EGR should solve the problem. The labor time guide only calls for .7hrs to change, so it shouldn't be a problem to do this yourself. And the EGR should be able to be obtained from any local parts store (i suggest a better quality part store like NAPA as opposed to AutoZone)ae86d304-e024-412c-873b-0187d7589081.jpg

Got code p0522 so i have been trying to replace the sensor but it won't budge is there any way to get it unstuck

If your talking about the oil pressure sending unit or sensor. Then spray it good with some penatrating oil at the threads of it. let it sit for a few minutes before trying to get it out. or take it some where to remove it. God-Bless ya all! PO522,Before spraying it, clean the oil off around it.

Codes po171 and po522 on my dash board

P0171 Fuel system lean bank 1, P0522 Engine oil pressure/switch circuit low voltage. Take care of the P0522 get the oil pressure check out first. As for P0171 that can be from a vacuum hose leak from false air.Worn out sparkplugs. To a contaminated MAF(mass air flow sensor).Lean bank is a easy fix but low oil pressure get that look at.

My 2005 PT Cruiser shows error codes P0508, P0688, and P0522. Sometimes it runs well, and other times it runs rough then dies and won't start back.

this obd2 trouble code table can help u understand the meaning of code.
po522, the possible solution:
The most likely cause is a faulty oil pressure sensor/switch.
for p0688, you can Check all the ECM fuses, if the fuses are OK try replacing the ASD relay.

I am getting a code p522 and a p340 on my 2006 dodge caravan. i replaced the camposition sensor but i am still getting both codes. anything that i could try. thank you.

CODE P0522 - ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR RATIONALITY. CODE PO340 - NO CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT FAILURE. REPLACE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR.YOU NEED A CODE SCAN TO ERASE CODES. IF THESE CODES POP UP AGAIN. YOU COULD HAVE PCM PROBLEMS.CMP SENSOR NOT RECEIVING 5 VOLT SUPPLY.

there appears to be a problem with your crank position sensor and your oil pressure switch.

  • The crank position sensor or its connection is probably at fault. The engine needs the signal that the crank postion sensor provides to inject fuel and supply spark at the correct time.
