OK, I just had my radiator flushed and it is still running hot. Only when sitting still. It will run almost to the H. What do I need to try next.

unfortunately the 94 mustang and I am assuming that you have a v6 3.9L because they all run hot. And they all blow head gaskets. the thermostat cannot be changed to anything lower because it will throw codes in cool weather and turn the check engine light on. it runs like a 195degree thermostat which is super hot and the engine just runs hot to begin with. You may actually never get it to completely cool down. Is it blowing coolant out?

the 94 mustang with 3.8L motor runs hot due to the thermostat being a high than normal like 195 degree. unfortunately theses motor are just hot.

also, you could have a restriction in your radiator. dirt or whatever. have you flushed it or had it recored lately?

First check your coolant level and if its full then Change the thermostat, that would be my first guess. Another possibility is a plugged radiator or head gasket. I would think if it was the head gasket it would do it while driving down the road, but if not the other 2 then thats what I would say it is. Good luck. Change the thermostat and post the results. I am leaning to a plugged radiator, get it flushed.

Change the water pump. It may be circulating, but not enough.

Overheats when idoling, but not while moving

possibilities include: fan clutch, water pump going out, missing fan shroud or baffles in front end, clogged radiator fins or a/c condensor may need cleaned. Possibly stuck thermostat, low coolant level , and this can be caused by faulty radiator cap. Hope this helps!

Have a 1994 mustang that is running hot when sitting still but goes back to normal when driving. The fan is working. Do you know what it could be.

A likely source would be the waterpump. Cars run hotter when parked than running to begin with but if you're car is running too hot (on verge of overheating) it's a sign that your waterpump may be on its way out. You may hear whining under the hood when in park as well, another symptom of the waterpump malfunctioning.
Best of luck.

High idol all the time& tranny problems

Check for vacuum leaks on the high idol. You have a speed sensor or wiring issue with the tranny. Will need to be checked somewhere with a computer to know for sure on the tranny.
