Either go to a local garage that services Fords and ask them to look up the code in their diagnostic machine manual, or buy yourself a plug in diagnostic code reader available at automotive supply stores (plugs into the multiconnection under the dashboard, the same place where they attach the diagnostic machine during inspection).
hi this is located in the glove box on the left side of the car, look up in the top of it and you see it, if you have a left hand drive car, look on opposite side of car...hope this helps please comment and rate thanks
LOOK ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND EXHAUST PIPE NEAR THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER.YOU NEED TO CRANK CAR UP FEW MINUTES TO HEAT UP EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO GET O2 SENSOR OUT WITH OUT DAMAGING ITS THREADS HOLES.BESURE SPRAY A LITTLE LIQUID WRENCH OR WD40 TO HELP TO REMOVE O2 SENSOR.YOU HAVE TO GO TO AUTO PARTS STORE AND BUY SPECIAL SOCKET TO REMOVE THE OXYGEN SENSOR.ALSO WEAR LONG SLEEVES COVERALL AND GLOVES TO KEEP FROM GETTING BURN ON EXHAUST SYSTEM.WHEN YOU CRANK CAR UP TO HEAT THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD JUST DO IT FOR A MINUTE OR TWO NO LONGER.SO YOU WONT GET BURN WHILE REMOVING THE OXYGEN SENSOR.
Your Elantra has more than one oxygen sensor. There is a pre-catalyst sensor and a post-catalyst sensor. Both can be found on the exhaust. You simply disconnect the sensor wire and remove the sensor plug with the proper size deep socket. Be sure you have the correct sensor for replacement.
Because of the heat involved with the exhaust, make sure the engine is cool before attempting to remove and replace the sensors. They may be tough to remove so a shot of WD-40 or 5-56 spray may need to soak into the threads to ease removal. When you replace the new sensors, a coating of anti-seize will be helpful for future removal.
Keep in mind that one malfunctioning sensor can send information that will set off codes on other sensors "downstream" or send codes from other emission controls on the engine.
Take/Tow your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.
If your airbag light comes on it means its not working. Some of the newer airbag systems have weight sensors under the seats and anything lodged under them can disable the passenger airbag and possibly cause the light to go on. If there are no other symptoms, and nothing impeding the airbags then the car thinks the airbag wont work. If you are concerned for your son's safety, take it to a qualified mechanic and have them check/replace your airbag. Good Luck!
I just came from an Autozone, and then spoke with 2 Hyundai dealership service departments and they all three stated the P0113 code is the Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT, also referred to as the Mass Air Pressure - MAP - sensor) on the engine, not an O2 sensor found in the exhaust system.
