depending on which trans it is there is a small dipstick on the trans at the front on the bottom these transmissions take a specific fluid so be careful

You would have to bypass the switch............or roll start the car.
I assume you mean the safety switch that won't allow the starter motor to go unless your foot is on the clutch.
Switch is about $ 60 ( what a rip off )

Check the Inertia switch and push the reset button for 3 seconds. This switch is usually in the rear area of the vehicle. It can activate if a door or trunklid is slammed too hard.
You should hear the fuelpump running for several seconds when you turn the key on. If this does not work you need to determine if it is a spark or fuel problem. Also look at the front of the motor if it is a 4 cylinder to see if the timing belt broke.

It's best to replace the entire cable.
There are seperate repkacement terminals, but you need to make sure you get a good install on them
