Question about Cars & Trucks
Sounds like a fuel delivery problem or lack of air. Check all fuses and relays associated with fuel delivery system. Check your battery and definitely battery connections. A near dead battery can sometimes start a car, but not keep all systems running. Also a loose battery cable can start a car, but while vibrating, cannot keep it running. When you turn key to "ON" or "RUN" position, you should hear a whine sound. That is fuel pump starting and priming your fuel system. Once you start it, you should continue to hear the whine - but very faintly. Check your fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure at the fuel rail(s). All this pass? Then move to spark (ie. Ignition system) - for a short somewhere. Check for a large airflow blockage. Seen small animals crawl up inside the airbox and die and close off the airflow. You never know. Good luck.

the valve followers in this engine are hydraulic and have no lash setting. if u have a noise u may have a defective cam follower, which is also called a lifter in OHV engines, yours is OHC.

Can you please turn on your headlights to full beam, and confirm if you have strong brightness?
If your battery is in good condition, then there is likely a short somewhere in the main power line (coming from the red lead of your battery).
You should also inspect the MAIN engine power fuse, situated in the Engine fuse box, to ensure it hasn't blown.
