The stub axle and support is bent so I would change the complete unit with a unit from the wreckers . All wishbones and strut units depending on your suspension. Check for damage to the sub-frame where it all bolts to.

Basically replace everything associated with the wheelans suspension . It is difficult to explain the part names as you have not described what suspension you have . So remember that the hit you took will have damaged parts that will not be obvious including cracks and bends of all parts .

hi bill iv noticed a knocking coming from the back end its not there when driving but when i go up a drop kerb and when i turn left and right it comes from the back can you help mate thanks

I.m thinking that the front end was not the only place that took the hit. Have the rear end inspected especially where the mounts are welded to the body. Look for cracks and or broken mount areas . Check for failed rubbers from bent ,misaligned suspension. Pay particular attention to the same side that took the hit. It may pay to have the vehicle inspected by a professional repairer but with a noise comming from when the body is stressed (on the drop kerb) I suspect something has broken away like a weld or cracked body panel.

SOURCE: I think my mechanic is over charging me..

It's good to shop around for new tires, the mechanic may not have a good deal from the supplier. Therefore, he needs to charge more. Just shop around in your area for better deals on tires.

As for the other repairs, the first thing you'll need to get done is the front lower control arm ( the worn ball joint ). Worn out suspension parts will cause premature wear on the tires. Because, it would not be holding the tire steady and it would be basically " out of alignment ".
If I remember correctly, the whole control arm would have to be replaced, because the ball joint isn't changeable in the control arm. I believe that's why he's asking $700.
The mechanic again probably doesn't have a good deal on his parts supplier. I think it's too high myself. I would call around other shop for better prices. Other shops that have better deals on their suppliers will usually pass the saving to the customer.

The problem could be caused by a wheel bearing squeeling or the cv joint squeeling.

Why wont my ford fusion 2009 wont start after hitting a curb?

it is a possibility that on hitting the curb you activated the safety switch, which is a red head square button similar to Renault engines. Mostly could be found either in the engine compartment on the right side close to the inner wing. The only thing you have to do is just to press it on the top and then start the car.

Wheels wobble while driving, can feel it in steering wheel.

If you are lucky, you only bent a wheel. Repair or replacement of the bent rim will correct this issue. Unfortunately, you may have hit hard enough to bend the lower control arm or possibly a tie rod. In some cases the bending may be visible to the naked eye. However, in most cases only a service center, using an alignment rack, will be able to determine the damaged component(s).

Why is my front driver side wheel bent outward from the top half and making it difficult to drive?

That's called positive camber. It could be caused from hitting a curb and bending the control arm. It could also be dangerously worn front suspension parts. You need to get it to a front end alignment shop asap. If your ball joints fail, the wheel could collapse while you are driving.

I hit a curb with my front passenger wheel. Since

You probably bent the rim slightly or knocked off a wheel weight, just get your front wheel re-balanced.

Alignment causes a pull not a vibration, and it takes a hard hit to bend a frame.

I bet you this is not more then a 50 dollar fix.

The front right wheel sticks about an inch out from wheel to over head while the other is all inside... i slid onto a side walk in a recent snow day at about 15 mph..

Hi:
I am glad you are safe! You most likely have bent your lower control arm on the front right side. It is what usually bends when your lower wheel slides into a curb. It is about a $150 part, and you need to pay for installation and a front wheel alignment too,

Vibrating steering wheel when the speed is above 70 mph

The wheel having been rotated to the rear of the car would eliminate it as the problem. I believe you may have 'tweeked' something when you hit the curb. Have a front end alignment. This would reveal if anything was damaged when the curb was hit, and it might just be in need of an adjustment to solve the problem. If a component was damaged, the tech should know when doing the alignment. Let me know how you make out.
