Question about 1992 Dodge Dakota
Does not matter, on flat, up or down hills truck acts like can't get enough gas and at times gets too much?
Put everything on my 1992 Dakota, except computer on the fender. finally put this computer it plugs in on fender and fixed it. The first computer I put on was no good, bought from O'reillys for $200., but the second one fixed it. Easy to install, just unplug and plug in new one

1.Start by changing plugs and wires. 2.Check for vacuum leaks. With the engine running, wigglr every hose you can see, to make sure nothing is loose or cracked. 3.Change fuel filter. 4.Check timing. 5.Check air control valve. 6.Check idle control sensor.

Sounds to me like your over fueling. Are you sure you have the map connected correctly. Make sure with the engine running you have vacuum. A plugged vacuum line can cause your problems. Make sure no pins are bent in the connector. Listen with the engine running for a large vacuum leaks.

Depending on youre mechanical ability you can spend 20 bucks for a rebuild kit on your carburator.
There tends to be many different potential issues with youre description of the problem. My best advice for you at this time, would be get the carburator re-built and check youre fuel pump/fuel filter.
But you can always go to youre local shop and get a free estimate.
