Try new coil wire. Also try starting with hood up and in complete darkness. You want to watch the distrubutor/cap/wires areas for arcing through boots/wires etc. Verify you are getting air to your cylinders too. Compression check. Good luck. No starts are No fun!

Fuel air mixture too rich on a 98 nissan pathfinder

My guess would be a fuel injector or fuel pressure regulator problem, or a Mass air flow sensor.
The O2 sensor does not come into play until the engine has run for a couple of minutes.
Is the check engine light on ?

2000 pathfinder will not start

Inside the distributor is the power transistor, its a six pin and two pin connector in the distributor this is not a servicable component,Housed in the distributor is the crank sensor, this is not a servicable component of the distributor,it has a common failure after a hot soak.Your solution is a whole distributor.

I have a 99 nissan pathfinder that won't start, it has spark and fuel. I even sprayed starting fluid and still won't start, replaced the distributor, same problem. does the crank sensor has to do...

well it takes four things for an engine to start, air, fuel ,ignition and proper timing of ignition and valvetrain . if you have spark then i presume the cams are turning , fuel injection is control by the ecm based on crank and cam inputs ( if applicable been awhile since seen a 99 nissan )
if you have spark then can assume the ecm is getting a crank sensor pulse , that leaves valve timing . any codes? check light on ?
did it die suddenly or just not start one day ? i would be app to check timing belt first make sure its lined up correctly . even if fuel injs were inop it should still start on staring fluid indicating a fuel problem, i would do a compression check also if the belt jumped it may have bent some valves if its interference engine but i dont remember, and make sure its getting air through the air intake

Hello,
When the MAF on most vehicles reach a point of preventing the engine from starting, you can usually just unplug it and the engine will start. If that doesn't work-
You may want to try having the O2 sensor, ( Oxygen sensor ), checked. It works with other components of the emission system and can cause similar symptoms as the MAF, including preventing the engine from starting.

1998 nissan stalled while driving will not start?

Possible issues could be FUEL PUMP, CRANK AND CAM SENSORS, COMPUTER. I would pull a spark plug wire and see if you are getting spark. If not, the first thing to try would be replacing the cam and crank sensors.

1998 Nissan Pathfinder dies

sounds like might have bad fuel pump. take fuel line off see if it has pressure. the pump should come on if key is turned on without cranking it. or it can be the mass air sensor. it can't monitor the load.
