Question about 1995 GMC Sierra C1500
The switch light comes on but the window defogger is not working.
Check the wire for power, at back window. if it has power, the window grid for defroster maybe bad. if no power. check for a broken wire to back window. good-day!

Have you checked the wire harness that goes between the hatch and the body? The constant opening and closing weakens the wires. Could also be the ground wire, I believe is inside the hatch. It could have come undone. If you have an owners manual, it should guide you to the defogger fuse. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Some auto parts stores sell a adhesive that has copper in it. made by "Permatex" just for that problem. Ask the parts guy.

Your local dealer should have a replacement 'tab' which can sometimes be soldered back onto the glass. Sometimes it just doesn't work and the glass will need to be replaced. I have done many of these, it is a 50/50 shot
