I use ......what we call a Bobby Pin.........but.....any straight pin will work. Just put the pin in the jet hole and move around....then check the fluid spray pattern on the windshield.

Where is the rear wiper pump and motor located?

I think you probably meant you want to know where the rear screen washer pump is located?

Older vehicles usually used a rear mounted screenwash pump and reservoir that was completely separate from the front but for a decade or more most manufacturers use a common front-mounted screenwash reservoir with a long tube to supply the rear washer jet.
The pump is invariably mounted at the front, low down and close to the reservoir so as long as there is water present in the reservoir the pump will immediately provide pressure; there is limited drain-back and the pump can't be run dry.

Sometimes there is a single pump and an arrangement of valves and the pump runs in reverse to provide water for the rear and forward to wash the front screen and sometimes there are two pumps with conventional supply and tube arrangements.

Replace pipe for rear windo woshre

Replacing the rear screenwash pipe or hose is problematic and requires extensive work and mostly isn't necessary as usually it fails only where the pipe jumps from body to tailgate and is subject to excessive twisting and pinching forces so that when polythene pipe is used which age hardens it soon cracks or breaks.

Mostly it is possible to graft in a section of hose, often without needing to disturb the headlining. It is best if some old-fashioned black rubber screenwash hose is found for the purpose as it doesn't harden and is very flexible.
The skills needed are reminiscent of those used by a gynaecologist but with patience and small hose joiners a workmanlike job can be made and finished with a spray of silicone grease before refitting the rubber boot.

Where to washer fluid 2015 kia sorento

Some years ago there was a move to standardise all those things that were the driver's responsibility such as screenwash, engine oil, coolant, etc., by colouring the caps yellow. I even saw yellow tyre valve caps at the time.
Unfortunately the manufacturers couldn't or wouldn't agree and so an excellent idea died young.

Easy answer number one is to suggest you read the vehicle driver's handbook if you have it. As the car is brand new there should be a nice new literature pack in the glovebox and if there isn't the supplier should be taken gently by the throat.
The literature pack also contains other valuable stuff such as service records, proof of delivery date, code numbers and suchlike and possibly the spare key(s). It is very important to have it.

In the absence of a handbook the screenwash filler is generally under the bonnet (or hood if you are foreign). These days screenwash bottles are quite large and some hold a couple of gallons so they are often fitted low in the space under the front wings, mudguards or fenders and a long spout is fitted so they can be filled from the engine compartment. The spout therefore is usually to be found near the extreme edge of the engine compartment, either side, and most often near the front. There is often a rather cryptic sketch moulded into the plastic lid vaguely resembling water squirting onto a windscreen after the wiper has just passed.

Failing that if you identify the oil, brake fluid, coolant and power steering the screenwash is about the only one left.

Windshield fuild is coming out 50% on the drivers side, and nothing on the passenger side of vehicle.

Check the jets are not blocked usually you can see if there is muck in them. Lift your hood and locate the tubes going up to the jets you might have to pull the tubes and clean the jet from the underside. Once cleaned, use a pin that is small enough to go in the jet hole and adjust the direction of the water by moving the pin up or down so that the jet hits the middle line of the screen.
Use a good screenwash mixture.

Hi Sayid, If you are not using it the container must be leaking. The most common causes are a broken pipe, a defective seal on the washer motor mount or the container is damaged and leaking. Regards John

Screenwash freezing for hours on end presumably inside the tubing. I have insulated and use blue screenwash.

I recommend Prestone washer fluid. It costs more but it doesn't freeze as easily as the blue stuff.

Hyundai Coupe V6 windscreen washer not working

It sounds as if there is a blockage either in the base of the screenwash reservoir or the feed pipe from the reservoir. You could remove the screenwash reservoir tank and clean it out and at the same time check the pipe.

Please remember to rate this solution.

Hello, i have a ford focus 2002 uk model and the front screenwash button has stopped working - could be the button itself or the pump. the rear sreenwash works fine. please help.

Well, if you have access to a multimeter, you can unhook the switch and check resistance across it or you can leave it in the system and verify voltage is making it to the pump. This will tell you if it is the switch or the pump. The other option is to guess and replace one of them and hope you are right. If the rear screenwash is powered through the same button, then the problem is definately the pump. There may also be a relay in the system, which could also be the culprit. Your best bet is to find a wiring diagram (check out the Haynes manual from your local auto parts store) and see what is in the circuit, then trace voltage to the first component that no longer has voltage, and there is your problem. Remember, no voltage will pass the switch unless it is closed.
