Question about 1999 Lincoln Town Car
I have a 1999 lincon town car there is no power to fuel injectors. I have changed the computer and reset the inertia how can I fix this?
Sometimes a crankshaft sensor does not send the signal to fire either the spark or the fuel injectors. If the fuel pump relay is not getting power, the inertia sensor will not have power either. The inertia reset is just magnetic and does not depend on having power to reset.
You can check for current at the Inertia sensor and at the fuel pump relay. You can also have fuel pressure at the test port without the injectors working, which is the easiest test of all,
You need the sequential firing pulse for the injectors. Have you checked the EEC Relay?

SOURCE: 1999 lincoln town car no start
yes the teft light will stop the vehicle from running. that is the pats system and can cause all sorts of trouble. if the light flashes fast its not reading the key. no start. if it turns on for two seconds and shuts off the it should start

??? fuel filter is under chassis between front and back wheels. it has a plastic cover...........oooohhhh..........fuel filter is mounted in the frame on drivers side. two clips hold the lines on and a hose clamp holds the filter to the frame.

The routing schematic for the serpentine belt is usually found on the fan shroud. But, if yours is missing you may contact your local lincoln dealer to see if they have the decal for that vehical or that engine.

possible just not probable. you need to see if there is any pressure to fuel rail. if not youre going to have to by pass the fuel pump and see if it is getting voltage. if so then apply a seperate voltage and ground wire to the pump to see if it kicks on. come to think of it, it could be the PATS system(security) that shuts down the system. it will crank but will not fire. your ford dealer will need to reprogram the system.
