Check first the battery terminals, try to wiggle them and see if that helps. Also, see if any other electrical item works, such as windows, power locks, lights.

Where is the alternator on a 2006 chrysler town & country located

An alternator or generator--- has nothing
to do with starting system

New Battery

Wouldn't you be looking at the starter solenoid
or the starter, for possible failure, if the cables are
good & in place

Could be a failed ignition switch

Lots to check there

WON'T CRANK OR WON'T START ???????

Turns over but wont start

IF BATTERY IS GOOD FOR SPARK THEN COULD BE A FUEL ISSUE, BAD FUEL PUMP WOULD NOT LET CAR START= NO FUEL. WHEN YOU TURN KEY HALF WAY YOU WILL HEAR PUMP GO ON RIGHT BEFORE YOU COMPLETE THE START CYCLE WITH KEY, NO NOISE BAD PUMP. THERE IS ALSO A RELAY THAT CONTROLS THE PUMP . MAKE SURE THAT IS GOOD ALSO

Drove it about 26 miles shut it off for about 30 min. got back in to start it turned the key it started and died then it wouldnt start again

Have you checked to see if the fuel pump is getting power from the relay and if the pump is producing fuel pressure ?

1997 Town country it starts then stalls

First lets make sure it not the alarm issue.Roll down a window. key off engine off, remove battery cable, touch the two cable for 1 minute, reinstall cables. put the key in the ignition but dont crank it. Turn it to the ACC position and leave for one minute, start the vehicle.

Just inherited a 1984 civic wagon it starts wont idle and after it stalls it wont start again without being primed. I kept it running and drove around the block and it stalled and wouldnt restart even...

i assume its a carb motor. if so i would first check the vacuum box for broken or loose lines, if the problem isnt there i would look to see if there is a loose wire by your thermostat. if theres a wire ground it to the thermostat bolt. these have both worked when the same thing happened to me.

Wont fire up. sounds like it's going to start but just wont turn

Hi,
It could be a couple of things:
  1. The starter motor needs repairing.
  2. The starter relay maybe faulty.
If you can get it to a good Autoelectrician they will definitely find the problem quite quickly. 9 times out of 10 its either the battery is faulty or the starter motor needs repairing. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.
