SOURCE: water in fuel system of a Ford F250 diesel engine.

there is an additive at most auto parts stores and even some gas stations, i forget the name but if you read the bottle it will say something about removing water from the fuel system, they are generally located next to the "octane booster" or "fuel system cleaners"

Sounds like a faulty crank sensor. Can also be caused by a faulty cam sensor.

SOURCE: 2001 f250 7.3 diesel cold weather starting

this sounds like a fuel contamination problem Assuming you have allready ck that glow plugs are all working add a few cans of dewater to tank and drive it a bit change fuel supplier

a simple way to see if glow plugs are even trying to work is right after wait to start lite goes out look at voltmeter on dash if it's not bouncing a bit there not working

glow plugs preheat the combustion chamber so cold fuel will fire off

also that truck might also have the fuel heater internal to filter housing
installed that might be burnt out as well OHM meter will tell you if so

SOURCE: I have a 2001 ford f250 powerstroke diesel was

Some of the Ford transmissions actually have an aluminum gear which will go out somewhere around 150 to 200 thousand miles. OR it could be really low on transmission fluid.

Ford f250 stalls when driving down the road,

What year... What engine? need info..... If it is a diesel with 7.3 L engine it is most likely the cam sensor. When it cranks does the tack work? that is another sign of a cam sensor It is on the front of the engine just to the right of the harmonic balancer top side. Replace it with a black one. Also could be in your IPR if diesel.
