How to change rear wheel bearing in Mazda 6 2002 1.8

Pretty easy job, if you have rear disc brakes on the car remove the caliper and brake rotor and you will see the hub bearing it just bolts one of two ways from the rear of the backing plate there will be 4 bolts holding it on, or there will be a dust cap in the center of the bearing, remove it and you will see a nut remove the nut and take the hub off and replace. If you have rear drum brakes remove the brake drum and remove the hub the same way should not have to remove the brake shoes at all if you are careful they will stay in place.

cheack your brake fluid resivoir, or if its manual also check your clutch fluid resivoir. if they are O.K it may be a faulty park brake switch or brake sensor switch.

I released my brakes and the brake light is still on.

there is a small switch above the brake pedal with a black wire going to it, they stick or the little bracket they set in gets bent, this allows the switch to stay on and in turn the light for the E-Brake stays on, press on the switch and push the little spring loaded plunger in, that light should go out, also make sure the brake pedal is all the way up, if it doesn't want to fully return adjust the park brake cable.

Mazda 6 warning light

On my 2003 Mazda 6S the problem was a loose gas cap which caused the check engine light to come on and stay on. To turn the light off you have to disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes.

It sounds as if you may have a short in the wire harness, or a bad plug on one of the sensors. This is common. Make sure the sensor connections are clean then use die-electric grease on them where they make contact.
