the popping sound is the stabilizer links or the lower control arm bushings you can replace all bushings and both link kits for around 50.00 and the light is prob from the sensor on the transfer case or the front end i would remove and clean with dawn dishwashing liquid and put them back.

There are many pieces involved with this error. You need to pull the codes from the computer to know for sure.
There is a sensor, typically under the rad support, from bottom of vehicle, this component suffers road salt and moisture damage.... check it carefully and if corroded, replace the wiring harness stub also, so everything at the connection is new.

These are oil cooler lines and there are 2 sets of 2 and should be replaced, Fairly easy but messy. If one blows apart you run the risk of causing severe engine damage.
