I have a 1985 Chevy 350 G30 Winnebago which I believe has all seasons air (on the dash is a temp control and a separate fan control). The system is totally separate from the heater. Will having the air on and the fan on high the fan and compressor stopped working. Looking at the fuse panel all fuses are ok but I noticed a rectangle plastic box that was plugged in the bottom of the fuse panel. When unplugged one of the connections broke off in the fuse box due to rust and over heat.. The box has four connectors on top and two on the bottom. Could this be the problem and if so what is the part called so I can find one. If not can you help trouble shoot?
this component is usually refered to as power relay fuse. broken prong must be removed from panel, maybe with a small pair of hemostats, and use electrical contact cleaner to remove debris etc...
disconnect battery leads before doing this....!!!!!!!!!!! power relay fuse should be available at most rv dealerships parts counter that supply winnebago.s...suggest you apply lubricant to new relay to ensure good connection.. hope this helps you... good luck, chris.....lemme know
