Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 quart peanut oil for frying
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 ounces shredded carrots
  • 8 (7 inch square) egg roll wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional)
Adjust Servings recipe yields 8 servings Directions
  1. Season pork with ginger and garlic powder and mix thoroughly. Heat mixture in a medium skillet, stirring, until pork is cooked through and no longer pink. Set aside.
  2. In another large skillet heat oil to about 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) or medium high heat. While oil is heating, combine flour and water in a bowl until they form a paste. In a separate bowl combine the cabbage, carrots and reserved pork mixture. Mix all together.
  3. Lay out one egg roll skin with a corner pointed toward you. Place about a 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the cabbage, carrot and pork mixture on egg roll paper and fold corner up over the mixture. Fold left and right corners toward the center and continue to roll. Brush a bit of the flour paste on the final corner to help seal the egg roll.
    1. Place egg rolls into heated oil and fry, turning occasionally, until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels or rack. Put on serving plate and top with sesame seeds if desired.

Does putting egg whites on burns have any effect in relieving and eventually curing the burn area?

Hi Robert:

First off, this section is about Cars and Trucks so unless you burned yourself on your vehicle, I'm not allowed to answer.

Assuming you did, I've heard that it does work. Before I tried it, I'd research it.... Google "egg whites for burn treatment" and, I'd sure discuss it with my doctor if I had a serious burn.

Eggs and water, fact or fiction?

As a retired policeman, I can say I've never heard of this. Sounds like urban legend, there's so many ways they can get you to stop without wasting an egg or counting on their throwing arm to actually hit you. I've seen eggs on cars for vandalism or an attempt to damage the paint. When in doubt roll the window down and keep driving, call 911 and tell them. If an unmarked police car tries to pull you over tell them through a closed window that you'll drive to the nearest place with lots of people, a Wal-Mart, police, fire or even a gas station.

My passengers side front window won't roll up anymore. I bought a motor and installed it corrctly. We ran all the electrical tests to verify that it's getting juice and it is...but it still won't budge. ...

If you put a volt meter in to the connector that plugs in to the motor if you hit the button for the window to go up and you get a voltage reading then I would say you have a bad motor. Before you replace the motor disconnect it from the window to make sure the window moves easily in the track if it does then replace the motor its bad.

I hope this helps you out, if it does please give me a YES that I did try and help you. Thank you

Window on my 2005 lincoln ls fell and wont roll up

This is a common problem on the Lincoln Ls. The window regulator which has a plastic clip on it wears out and then just drops your window. Autozone sells the window regulator for a pretty decent price, around $90. When it happened to my Ls it was a simple swap to get my window back working. Although if your not mechanically inclined then you should find a mechanic to do it. Dealerships are way too expensive for such an easy task.

Hi I have a RR Silver Spur 1988. Where is the battery please - believe it or not I can't find it:)

Not really sure on a Rolls but if it's not in the usual place on most cars the first place I would check is under the back seat. Benz puts them there.

Car died rotton egg smell

Not sure if engine coolant smells like rotten egs when it burns inside the cylinders , but it sounds like you may have blown a head gasket. Coolant and/or oil could be getting inside combustion chamber. Another possibility is that the catyletic converter might have broken up and colapsed onto the screen where it goes into the exhaust. Might give the rotten egg smell and block the exhaust enough to cause backpressure sufficient to cause the engine to run poorly too.
Try putting your palm over the exhaust pipe , if the exhaust is coming out in pulses (pop ,pop, pop) thats normal , if it is just slowly flowing out with no noticable pulses , I would check into the cat converter problem.

Engine light

The "rotten-egg" smell is caused indirectly by the catalytic converter. The main cause is a rich mixture condition from the engine. Your SUV is equipped with a computer controlled engine management system. You can scan your computer for fault or error codes. The information should pinpoint the malfunctioning components. There is an alternate reason for the rotten egg smell. this also can be caused by a over charged battery. if so, make sure the alternator isn't overcharging the battery cell. it will boil the contents causing the egg smell. I recommend a diagnostic run to make sure what this problem is.

please rate and god bless.
