First locate the starter, which in most cases on Buicks are towards the radiator or front of the vehicle, second disconnect the positive battery cable, third jack the vehicle up safely so u can get under to where the starter is located, should have two bolts that hold the starter in place and will also have normally two wires one big red one is the main power wire and a little one which is the ignition wire disconnect both, may want to take a picture for an image before u take anything loose use it as a rememberance guide , make sure u look and know their may be two prongs the little wire can go on make note of which one it is on, take both wires off and the two main starter bolts and when reinstalling the wires on the starter do not over tighten it will result in the plactic housing to crack and may mess up the cylinoid which is what the round piece on top of the starter is, where the wires hook up

How to remove and install a starter motor

It is impossible to provide a suggested diagnosis without knowing the YEAR, MAKE, and MODEL of your vehicle.
Beyond that, your question is far too vague.
Replacing a starter on MOST (not all) vehicles is a fairly straightforward procedure. It generally entails disconnecting the battery negative terminal, removing the sires from the starter, supporting the starter while removing two to four bolts, pulling the starter, then reversing the procedure to install the new starter installing starter shims to accommodate for any misalignment of the new starter.

What are the steps to change a Kia Sedona Starter

The starter can be removed from under the vehicle. But before doing anything, first disconnect the negative terminal of the car battery.Do start the procedure with battery connected. The starter is located on the frame rail on the driver's side. Lift the car up on jack stands.Give proper support to the car before working under the car to locate and remove the starter. Now before removing the starter you will have to remove the upper intake manifold bracket .This manifold bracket is held by 4 screws, remove those screws first to loose the upper intake manifold bracket. Then remove the wiring connections from starter solenoid mounted on the top of the starter motor. There are two wiring connectors remove both. Both the wiring connectors are fitted by a nut.Remove both the nuts and loosen both the wiring connector. Now loosen the starter connecting bolts and remove the starter carefully from the engine compartment. In the reverse procedure reconnect the new/replacement starter and complete the procedure. ------- Keep updated for any more queries.Thanks.

Need procedure to replace starter

there is two bolts on the starter you will have to remove them but before doing anything disconnect battery so you don't short anything out. there is a red wire on starter that will have to come off to. when you take the two bolts out the starter should pull right out if not use a screw drive to help it. It is really easy I hope this helps.
