This Sounds Like And IS The IGNITION SWITCH Itself, NOT The INGITION LOCK CYLINDER
You Have An Electrical Problem that is DIRECTLT Related to the ELECTRICAL side if the Ignition.
This is NOT a Mechanical "KEY" Problem.

2007 pontiac g5 gt just had ignition replaced due to recall now 48 hours later it wont start. . battery fully charged

ignition replaced ???? Ignition switch , the electrical part or key lock cylinder and key ? left switch on 10 minutes ???? That won't work on your vehicle ! Light's lit on insturment cluster ? Car with padlock symbol ,check engine ,service engine soon etc.... The starting system on your vehicle is computer controlled as many fuctions are ! The ignition switch is a low voltage input to the BCM - body control module . Your best bet , take it back to the dealer .

I have a 84 camaro z28 with the computer controlled rochester 4 barrel and my ignition is intermitnly cutting out, im drivin down the road fine then bam ignition cuts, about 30 mins to 3 hours later it...

Two good possibilities there. Either the coil on top of the cap is bad and internally shorting out when it's hot or the pickup coil under the module has a wire that is partially broken or the pickup itself is going bad. The ignition coil is easy to replace and the pickup is replaceable but you need to remove the distributor, remove the bottom gear and remove the shaft to get to it. If it's a wire on the pickup you can either visually look for a break or while it's running sometimes operating the vacuum advance with a hand pump will make it stall. When it's not starting, first check the Batt lead on the cap. With the key on there should be full or very close to full battery voltage there.....need more? just ask!!

Whole Electrical system shuts down when ignition key turned

Try cleaning the battery connectors at both ends and make sure the ground at the frame is clear of rust. If that check out, drop the starter and have it bench tested

Your ignition lock probably has sticky pin inside of tumbler.
Try spraying some WD40 or PB Blast into the key cylinder.
