Question about 1994 Ford Tempo

Leaking brake line

I replaced the rear drum parts and lines going from the drum to the soft line by the wheel. I refilled the brake fluid and tried to bleed the rear brakes and noticed brake fluid comming from a line under the body about where the door handle is. Is it possible to find a schematic of the brake line somewhere online or do I just need to take find it and replace the whole line.

You need to remove it. It can be replaced in sections using couplers but it should not be put together with ferrule type unions. You may need an adapter fitting on the master cylinder. Make sure everything is secure and cannot vibrate. use as many of the factory mounts as possible but you do not need to follow original routing exactly (this stuff is put in really tight sometimes) be careful bending tubing any kinks will result in a restriction or early failure..

if you have not just done a brake job , I would suggest you look for a leak in the rear brake lines . they tend to rust and brake . also pull the rear drums and make sure a wheel cly is not leaking . also check your master cyl fluid lvel

1995 buick lesabre. brakes are gone! fluid leaking from left rear brake.

If they are drum brakes then it is most likely the wheel cylinder. these are not expensive but you will need to replace the rear brake shoes and clean all the parts with brake clean. I recomend replacing the other cylinder while your at it.

I should have said what kind of leak I have brake fluid leaking from the rear passinger tire

you mean from "near" your rear passenger tire. Tires don't have brake fluid in them...!
Take a look at the inner part where the wheel mounts to the axle. There is a brake line there, so look to see if it looks like the brake fluid is coming from it, (and that you verify the brake fluid resevoir under the hood is low) or that it might be from the brake drum area. If it's from the brake drum, you probably have a "wheel cylinder" leaking, and need to remove the wheel and drum to verify this.

Soft brake peddle on 1994 chevy 3/4ton truck is it the back adjuster?

You might have a leak in one of your brake lines i would look at all of the lines for a leak look at the brake drums for fluid driping out of the bottom if you dont find a leak it may be time for a brake job . a soft peddel means you have air in your system. From a leak or wore out pads or shoes or a leaking wheel cylender from wore out rear shoes . watch your master cylender to see if its low on fluid.

I have a chrysler neon 2000, recently I noticed that the brake oil is leaking for the left side rear wheel. what could the problem be? thanks

If it is leaking from the top area of the plate, and you have drum brakes...then the wheel cylinder is leaking.

Rear drum brake locked up . just drivers side. emergency brake seemed ok until i broke it but the brake was locked before i messed with the emergency brake. drum will not move even when driving car

remove the brake line to release the pressure. Look at the brake fluid to see if its contaminated. Its common for when the wrong fluid is added to brake fluid you will cause all the rubber parts to swell. and turn the fluid black. You may need to replace all brake components if this is the case. If the fluid is not contaminated you may be able to just release the pressure and wiggle the drum or pry to get it off.. Then you may just need to replace the wheel cylinder and or the brake hose. When you get the drum off you may notice the wheel cylinder has been leaking. With the line open press on the brake to verify the line is colgged or not.. When done bleed the whole system

I have brake fuid leaking

It is called a wheel cylinder and the rubber cups leak when they wear out. You can buy a new wheel cylinder at Murrays or Autozone for @ $10. SInce it is leaking, you will need a set of brake shoes too, since they are runied when wet with fluid. Replace bot wheel cylinders.

If you do the repair, it will be under $100. A shop will charg about $250 to replace shoes, machine drums and replace wheel cylinders. That's assuming the brake line isn't too rusted into the wheel cylinder. Spary with penetrating oil for a week before attempting to remove brake line.

Take a picture of where all springs, etc go.

here's a mercury example

Sounds like you have a leak in the brake system. The fluid you are seeing is brake fluid.

You need to get this fixed asap.
