If the A/C is cooling properly you did not put too much freon in the system.
Check the cooling system level and make sure the fan is working properly. If it is an electric cooling fan, it should come on when you turn the A/C on. If it is a mechanical fan, the fan should be making a "roar" sound when the vehicle is at or above normal running temperature and the A/C is on.
Also make certain there are no obstructions between the A/C condenser and radiator or in front of the radiator.
Let me know and we can go from there.

How large is the freon container, is it like a gallon size?

There is a sticker on the radiator support or on the hood, where is the Freon capacity indicated for your vehicle. If I'm not mistaken it should be 1.6LB.

Put freon in 96 prizm leaking radiator but not running hot

its not A/C Freon, its called AF, antifreeze coolant, and
all leaks end in , overheating (be patient) and engine destruction(if patient)
how far can you go with an artery cut.>? same deal.
all I have for evidence here, (im blind in this box) is that the cap leak
so buy a new cap, if that dont fix it , it means.
1: ENGINE IS overheating, over 250F,
2: or the engine has a bad head gasket or cracked head or block.
3: or bad water pump (impeller 1/2 gone from neglect)
4: or cores in Rad, some blocked, (neglect)
5: loose fan belt.
5: wow, system not fULL? not kept full of AF at all times????
and more.

the car and engine are 100 % Toyota Corolla.
7a or 4a engines. not stated. here.

which one?

No heat on my 1999 jeep grand cherokee and overheating

Stop leak can cause the radiator ports to get clogged. But if your car isn't getting heat, it's probably your heater core. The heater core is usually burried in the firewall between the engine and where you or your passenger put your feet

Just had Halfords fit new cam belt on Audi A4, now it is overheating and they say my water pump has packed up! Is it ok to still drive the car until the problem is sorted as they told me it would be ok but...

I would never drive a car if it was overheating, not worth the cost of a new engine-at the very least, they should put that in writing so that if it does damage the engine, they buy the new engine.

I'm trying to put freon in my car and it won't take it... What can the problem be?

To put freon in the system, the vehicle has to be running and turn the ac to max. it may take 5 minutes or so per can . if it still won't take it ,the valve where you are refilling could be bad or after you put the hose on the can of freon you have to unscrew the t handle screw that is used to puncture the can to release the freon through the hose.

My air conditioner is blowing warm it low on freon and if so can I put it in myself?

Absolutely not. There must be professional equipment which puts freon into the system under pressure. Besides it's extremely poisonous.
