SOURCE: 2007 T&C Limited. Sometimes power

Hi, the repairs for the liftgate involves "reflashing " the module which would have to be done at the dealership.
Reflashing the module involves hooking the dealership scanner and downloading new software into the module. Here are the bulletins.
THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 23-035-00 REV. A, DATED OCT. 27, 2000, WHICH SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM YOUR FILES. THIS IS A COMPLETE REVISION AND NO **ASTERISKS** HAVE BEEN USED TO HIGHLIGHT CHANGES. SUBJECT: Power Mode Closes Lift Gate But Does Not Open The Lift Gate
NOTE: THIS BULLETIN SHOULD BE PERFORMED ON ALL IN STOCK VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE NOVEMBER 13, 2000 (MDH1113XX). OVERVIEW: This bulletin involves flashing the Power Lift Gate (PLG) module and resetting obstacle detection values. Adjusting the lift gate striker and/or installing lift gate overslam bumper shims may also be required.
MODELS: 2001-07 (RS) Town & Country/Caravan/Voyager 2001-07 (RG) Chrysler Voyager (International Markets)
SYMPTOM/CONDITION: The PLG functions in the power closing mode but not the opening mode. The lift gate is not flush with the tail lights. Low seal load prevents the lift gate from "popping off" and moving the lift gate latch out of the primary latching position.
DIAGNOSIS: DIAGNOSIS 1: Power operate the lift gate to open with the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Fob or button in the overhead console. If the lift gate does not move out of the primary latching position, perform Repair Procedure 1.
DIAGNOSIS 2: Inspect the lift gate for flushness to the body above and below the tail lamps. If the lift gate is underflush to the body above the tail lamp and underflush or flush below the tail lamp, go to Procedure 2A. If the lift gate is flush or overflush to the body above and below the tail lamp, go to Procedure 2B. If the lift gate is flush or underflush to the body above the tail lamps and over flush below the tail lamp AND the difference is more than 5mm, go to Procedure

You have to reflash at the dealer....

If it's not unlocking, The only way o get it open is pop off the trim piece that goes around the window. On the bottom panel there might be two screws to remove on each side. If not then it will pop off to a point, because there are screws on the bottom you can't access. Pull it back and reach down and find the rods that go to the latch. usualy the one that is horizontal is the one that unlocks the hatch. move it left or right to unlock it, try the handle to see if it opens. If it doesn't reach again and open it from the other rod. Pull up on it. Good luck

Testimonial: "Perfect. Could not reach the cables because of a plastic housing, but the process of disconnecting and reconnecting the cables solved the problem."

Does the 2019 explorer sport back hatch window open and how do I do that.

Yes, the 2019 Ford Explorer Sport has a power liftgate that includes a rear hatch window that can be opened independently from the liftgate.
To open the rear hatch window, press the button on the key fob twice within three seconds, or press the button located on the liftgate handle twice. Alternatively, you can also use the interior switch located on the overhead console to open or close the rear hatch window.

2008 MKX rear hatch will not opprat with buttons.Hatch was stoped when closing and now will only open by hand, but does have power.

Hatch or liftgate ?
Liftgate Release
The liftgate release switch operates the liftgate latch electronically. When the switch is pressed, the SJB processes the input and releases the liftgate latch.
The doors must be unlocked electronically in order for the SJB to release the liftgate latch. When this condition is met and the SJB receives the input from the liftgate release switch, the SJB provides power to the latch release motor.

SJB - smart junction box , fords BCM - body control module .
Your best bet , take it to the dealer .

Rear hatch keeps opens while driving...

Unless you have electrical diagnostic skills , I suggest you take this to the dealer ! The lift gate can be opened by operating the switch on the instrument panel. Battery voltage is supplied to the liftgate actuator through the body control module (BCM). The BCM will pulse the lift gate actuator when a release input is received through the key fob, or the instrument panel switch.
The body control module (BCM) receives an input from the liftgate ajar assembly. The ajar assembly is normally open when the liftgate is fully closed. When the liftgate is opened, the ajar assembly contacts close providing a path to ground. The driver information center (DIC) illuminates the rear access open message when the gate is open. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) receives a serial data message from the BCM indicating the liftgate ajar status. If this message is displayed and the vehicle speed is greater than 8 km/h (5 mph), a chime will sound.
It could be ajar switch is bad .

Where is the manual liftgate sensor located 2009 Equinox

The liftgate can be opened by operating the switch on the instrument panel. Battery voltage is supplied to the liftgate actuator through the body control module (BCM). The BCM will pulse the liftgate actuator when a release input is received through the key fob, or the instrument panel switch.
Not sure what your talking about . There is no sensor. there is a relay in the I/P fuse box LIFTGATE PCB relay . an a lift gate actuator motor inside the door . An there is a door ajar switch ,which is part of the latch mechanism. Do you have light lit on the instrument cluster - a picture of a little car with a door open , an maybe a chime sounding ?

Back window is stuck

First be sure the auto-lock is not on and that the entire liftgate can be opened.

Look for the small rubber button above and on the right side of the license plate. Try pushing that button to see if the rear window hatch pops.

If these efforts don't work, check the fuse associated with the "luggage compartment lid release switch"... it's a 20 amp fuse possibly located in slot 22.

A last resort would be removing the interior panel of the liftgate and locating the latch release for the hatch. You can find a schematic of the rear liftgate in an Internet search. Good luck!
