SOURCE: Honda Accord 99 EX Antenna Faulty?

Static won't come from an antenna. It normally comes from your connections. If you've been changing the head, check the contacts where it goes together. The only noise your antenna will pick up, is noise from your ignition. If what you hear is more of a buzzing or clicking that changes as you accelerate, then you should get your ignition checked.

Click? That is usually a starter? Are you sure you are replacing the right fuse since nothing should click with an antenna.

My 7897 has no blue wire for the remote turn on lead, all I can find is the power antenna? What wire do I hook to the remote turn on to the amp?

You can hook it directly to the radio fuse. Find where your fuse is and put the wire directly beneath it and push the fuse in. Now turn on the car and your amp has power. Hope this helps.

My 1990 Honda Accord radio antenna motor functions opposite to what it is suppose to be. When radio is on the antenna down, when the radio is off antenna up. Even with this reverse function I can feed the...

first of all, is your radio factory or aftermarket? If its factory the you probably have a bad ground or a short in the radio power to antenna. If its after market, then the remote antenna wire is hooked up wrong. Check to make sure the antenna wire is hooked up to the antenna. Good luck

I have a 2003 Honda Civic EX coupe. Installed aftermarket radio cd player and the cd works but the radio does not. The issue is not with the new unit as the previous player's radio would not work either....

If you're getting power to the CD player then there's power
to the radio. The antenna involves the grid on the rear window,
an antenna coil and cable to the radio. You can check the
grid for a break and if it's small you're auto parts store will
have a repair kit. My 05 Accord rear window defogger did
not work and it took Honda 2 attempts to repair it. Other
than checking the grid I would bring it to the dealer.

You have to remove the radio and check the power going into the radio to make sure it is getting power. There is an internal radio fuse which you can't check without taking the radio apart. Likely the source is the radio. Checking for current to the radio will determine if the source is the radio or not. If radio does not power up, antenna will not rise.
