there is a little mark on the crankshaft which you line up with the 'o' mark on the casing ..
remove the cam cover and look at the cam you should see a nob on the cam about 3 th lob and that should be facing just left of the engine ..
if you have a turbo there is two notchs on the injection pump pully ..if turbo there is a 't' mark on the rear of the cover the notch on the pully should mark up with the 't'..
the timing is set..

PO 4OO Code is an EGR valve flow malfunction. It might be as simple as removing the valve and cleaning it.

The fuel pump relay would be located in the underhood fuse box, check the fuse box inside cover diagram for exact location.

SOURCE: fuel pump relay for a corsa 1litre

The fuel pump relay would be located in the under hood fuse and relay center, the inside cover would be marked with a diagram. You can also find this info in your owners manual or contact the local dealer for help if you still don't see the relay or can't ID what you are looking at.

Ok, what degree before tdc is the spill timing on No one piston?


if you are talking inline fuel pump for a diesel engine ( only unit that allows for spill timing) you set the injection mark on the pointer and spill shut off is at that mark
with diesels there are a number of differences as to the different makes of engines as some are 15 degrees up to 22 degrees but they are all set on the INJ mark
talk with a specialist diesel shop as to the degrees for your make of engine as it is critical to prevent engine damage

This is a technique called spill timing line up the timing marks
remove the pipe to the injector on #1 Cylinder loosen the mounting / adjustment bots on the pump attach a spill cut off pipe (looks like a '?") use the lift pump to supply low pressure fuel. While pumping the lift pump turn the injector pump in the direction of rotation until fuel flows freely then turn the injector pump slowly and gradually against the direction of rotation till fuel stops. lock the pump in this position. this is correct timing

My corsa lite cut out and then refuse to start again. I replace the sensor on the crank and it still doing the same it's start and run for about 3 to 4 km's and cut out again, after about 10 minuts it...


Buy a cheap OBD2 code reader from eBay, plug it in and write down the error codes it displays. Then Google the codes and you will have your answer.

no DTC posted, wow , nor year. and which Diesel.
I guess you need to understand how EFI works
in a nut shell, the EFI can compensate for weak parts.
including a weak pump.
that magic is called closed loop.
but on newer cars, the pump is monitored for proper pressure,
this is a godsend.
if the pressure drops, IT WILL GET Worse.

it's and early warning,,,
and can be caused by many things.
1: love voltage to pump, (bad wiring)\
2: pump weak.
3:: fuel pressure regulator stuck open (or closed of pressure too high
you never gave DTC so cant advise ,)
4: crushed fuel lines, from driving off road. etc.
some cars uses different Diesel injection systems in different countries.
and country not stated.

Motor not running


The problem was a electronic box which controls the multi valve system on the fuel pump not the ERPS. The box had lost it's earth contact. These motors don't have a cut off solenoid like older diesels, a lot of trial and error to find.
Now a happy fellow.

I have a Nissan Almera diesel 2,2 liter engine, year 2000. It stopped running just like that, without any pre-announcement. I could not start it (It swings but the engine does not start). The launch X431...


Solution #1 is not correct.. reason, why engine does not start when those codes are shown, is pump control unit (PCU), or electromagnetic valve. You should give PCU to fix (mostly it's broken transistor inside) or to change you current PCU to the new (need to be programed) or buy whole new VP44 PSG5 pump.
