Question about 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix
I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt. I am having problems with the ac. It has digital ac controls. Yesterday the digital gage read that the exterior temperature was 31 degrees when it actually was 99 degrees outside, therefore the ac will not kick on. The car believes that is cold outside and the ac does not need to be ran. Does anyone know where the actual thermometer is? Or what I can do to try and fix my problem? I did check the 134a level and it is just fine. Please Help is is 100 degrees today!
JUST A BIT OF INFO WHEN YOU CALL THE PARTS STORE, THE PART YOU WILL ASK FOR IS CALLED THE AMBIENT CLIMATE CONTROL SENSOR. THEY WILL NEED TO KNOW THAT OR THEY WILL TRY AND SELL YOU A BUNCH OF PARTS YOU DONT NEED.

Outside air sensor is mounted on the front of the radiator. Access is from under car.

That sensor is under the hood when you open it you will see a sensor at the post in the center of the support bracket
