2003 VW PASSAT. Check engine light goes on and

8.5 hrs + parts sounds about right. But why would a 7 year old cars oil pump fail? They usually last a lifetime. Has there been a lubrication problem? Low oil, cheap oil, wrong oil? But then again my daughters 04 Toyota needed a valve job, head gasket and water pump recently. I'm doing 90% of work and it still cost about $2000. Her problem was bad oil!

2003 passat ABS light on

Check your brake lights. Well, 2 things, your car may have a recall on it for the brake light switch. call a stealership and have them run your vin code to see if it was performed. A less likely cause is that the ABS control unit is kinda known to go bad.

I have two warning lights on they are esp light and emission light please help . 2003 vw passat 1.8t

The eps light is related to your brake light sensor. The emission light you will need to have the code read. Go to your local auto parts store and have it read.
