SOURCE: Under load and not under load, my 460 engine goes

if it was my i would take it by a speed shop and have the camshaft and bearing on the cam shaft checkout give these websites a try www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com i would also stop by a ford dealership to see if there is some one there who is old school and know something about these engines if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a old 1978 lincoln book that had a 460 engine in it wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

3.0l engine. OK when cold. When it warms up, why does it miss and flatten out under load?

Sorry to say, If you had the work done at a shop. shops just don't give your new, remanned,or used motor or transmission the best shot at living a long or extended life. Unless new. But ts is still marginal.

My Vw at low revs under load in 4th 5th and 6th have a Jerk when I floor it. If anyone can assist? Thanks

What do you mean by low revs?

Under 1.5k rpm, the engine will not be generating enough torque in those gears.

Gear changes should occur between 2.5k and 3k rpm for a smoother transition.

2007 chevrolet impalahave a 07 impala runs great till ur rpm meter goes past 4000rpm then drops down to 0 runs bad after shut down engine for around 10 mins then runs good again check with scanner no

It needs a scanner on it to find the problem while driving it. Several things can cause this. At 4000 rpm's in park the ecm will suppress the engine. this would be the Neutral safety switch. So going from there, if not the switch, it could be wiring or a bad buffer in the ecm.

2000 Dodge Dakota vibration while driving

sound like the u-joints in the driveshaft. Lay under the truck and where the u-joints are try moving the driveshaft up and down. If it moves then the u-joints are bed. This will cause a tremendous vibration under a load and the faster it spins it will smooth out.

I cant rev over 4000rpm

have your vehicle scanned for codes-most likely it is your vanos-vairiable cam timing-do not attempt to do this repair if your are nor knowledgeable with the system- I would also check my intake boot and maf sensor. you never know you might get lucky and find a torn boot and be able to clean the electrical portion of your maf sensor

200 Pontiac Grand Am over 3500 RPM loss of power

on almost all gm cars after 96 the engines were governed to not free rev over 4000rpm. when in gear and power braking the rpms stay lower cause of the load on engine. when reving above 3500 rpms the computer cuts back the timing and fuel to reduce engine damage if left to free rev. hop that helps.
