No power to my gmc and now the key wont come out of the ignition?

It has to have power to remove the key. Jump it with another battery or charger. If you have power from the battery and no power to the inside. Check main fuses under the hood. If those are good, put power to the cigarette light, This will get the key out. Most likely have to replace the under hood fuse panel.

There are other sections such as a shut down relay but this is just the key part of it. If you need the other or a larger picture (there is a size limit on here as far as posting pictures), just reply here or feel free to email me directly at csautomotivecars@att.net. Resetting anti theft after changing ignition on 2002 toyota sequoia

Do you still have a key from the old ignition switch or was that why you had to replace it in the first place. If you have the old key I can explain how to just registaring the new keys from the transponder of the old key. I know it sounds crazy but you have to register the new keys and this is the easiest way without having special equipment. Just comment here either way or email me directly at csautomotivecars@att.net with your information.

There is a fuse from the ignition switch. There is also a fusible link. Below is a wiring diagram that you can look at and it has the wire colors as well. This I hope will help you narrow down your power loss to the solenoid. If you need anymore wiring diagrams for your vehicle I have them all and you are free to email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with what you need. No cost, Being nice cause it's Sunday....LOL Anyway, I hope this helps you and good luck. Here's your diagram

2009 srx will not start.no power in vehicle.key will not come out of ignition.

It sounds like the battery is dead and needs to be charged or replaced, Once the battery has a charge from a battery charger or by having the car boosted with another car to start it, the ignition key's should come out of the ignition. You need power to the electrical system for the ignition to have the keys come out, Note do not force the keys out. Forcing the keys out can and will damage the Pass-lock system to the ignition. Good luck and keep me posted. be glad to know you got your car running again.
