Serpentine belt broke..replaced the belt and the battery but wont start..will turn over but not start..sounds like it is free spinning..could possibly be the timing belt

the timing belt is scheduled for replacement at 60K miles, but I dont know why the serpentine belt would break? see if the cam is turning, maybe peek in where you add oil.

Need to replace serpentine belt but timing belt is blocking my way. How do I remove timing belt?

serpentine belt comes first and then timing belt which is inside the motor.I think you have got the name of your belts the other way around.

How involved is timing belt replacement for buick century

Your car does not have a timing belt,it has a timing chain. To remove the cover you have to remove the power steering pump and set aside, water pump, crank sensor, and crankshaft pulley. You might possibly have to remove the oil pan also.Hope this helps.Good luck.

How do you replace the water pump on a volvo 850

It's a fairly invlved process and you usually do the serpentine belt and timing belt along with it. It's about 2 hours worth of work all together. Here's a good tutorial on it: http://volvospeed.com/Repair/timingbelt.php

Belt question

You should clarify which engine it is, and you can look under the hood near the radiator for the serpentine belt instillation diagram that is on a sticker. Rick
