Question about 2007 Toyota Camry

My 2007 camry xle sun visor won't stay up

My visor was very loose so I popped it off to see if there was a screw underneath the base of the arm to tighten. Unfortunately, the pieces fell apart in my hand and I was not able to put it back together. One of the metal clips went up into the roof of the car when I tried to repair the visor. I had to order another visor ($110) and have it installed ($45 for labor).

THAT REALLY SUCKS!!!

Not sure 2007. I fixed my 2008 problem. The plastic casing is weak. It seems like a design issue. I have fixed mine and I am pretty sure it will last. Please watch my DIY video on YouTube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvPxParKy...

Windshield wiper doesn't work on the driver's side?

It sounds like the retaining nut has come loose. First cycle the wipers and shut off to put in the park position, Remove the cap at the base of the wiper arm there should be a nut. Position wiper to where it usually rests in the park position, and tighten nut. Try the wipers, if working replaced cap good to go. If it still doesn't move then quite likely that side arm has popped off the wiper transmission underneath the front cowl. Remove both wiper arms by taking off nuts and prying off, check underneath the cowl. If you find the arm popped off a ball stud reattach and try wipers (without installing cowl or wiper arms, just check to see if both sides swivel. If it pops off again its worn out and you will need a wiper transmission.

How do I remove the 2007 kia optima sun visor?

Look at the plastic plate that the visor arm comes out of. There are screws underneath the plate. You need to adjust these screws, and that should take care of the problem.

Loose driver side sun visor

If there is head of a screw on the arm that attaches to the sunvisor you can tighten that up. If not the sunvisor has to be replaced instead

Windshield wiper not working on driver side. I does not sweep other side works fine

At the base of the wiper arm, there should be a cover.
Pop up that cover. Underneath that cover should be a nut. Tighten the nut. Careful not to overtighten!
Recheck operation.
That retaining nut has become loose.

Sun visor on 2008 Camry broke - on both sides

To be honest, Save your 90.00 and pop it in your self. Sun visors are very easy to change and will take you all of 5 minutes. Most visors are held in place by 2-3 little screws that you will see at the base of the visor and looks like they are screwed into your roof. just take the screws out and the visor will pop right out for you. then just do the opposite to install it. It really is that easy.

Good Luck and I hope this helps.

My sun visor on the driver's side just cracked and

I fabricated my own brackets for my 2004 Ford Explorer to mount (or should I say re-mount) my sun visors after they both crumbled and fell on us. I cut some thin metal (tin I think) and put 5 layers together to form the bracket. If there is any interest, I'll upload some pictures and instructions over the week-end to show how to install it. I'm thinking about offering to make these for $12+ shipping for one bracket or $20+shipping for a pair.
