1 and 4 are paired and 2 and 3 are paired they can go on either terminal on the same coil .

1994 Chevy corsica Started missing after heavy rain. Has dried up but still missing. Could this be the kolpak or mechanical problems

most likely it is a electrical problem. Check your plug wires and plugs first. Replace them. If still missing, move on to the coilpacks.

No spark! replaced the crank position sensor, plugs, wires, ignition control modual. had the coil packs checked all ok.

This sounds like a bad computer, if your sure the coilpacks are good and you replaced the module and the new module is good and the wiring to the module is good then i would say the wiring to computer or bad computer, this module and coils are hidden in the rear of the motor and go bad often but if say there all good then my next step would be the computer,

could be clogged catalytic converter. if you"ve never had it replaced i would suspect that......check transmission fuild levels also...need more info to diagnose eg: starts o.k., idles o.k. shifts o.k. plug wires changed, etc.

Dome light in 1994 Chevy Cavalier will not turn off

Check the plunger switch.Most of them just snap in to the side of the dash.Un plug wires to see if light goes out,could also be your dome light switch.

Car sputters and no power, now it will not crank

Check the coil pack. they are common to fail and the engine will usually misfire for a while and then not start when it gets cold out. you can do a quick check by removing one plug wire at a time and having someone crank the engine. the spark should jump right down the tower the wire goes onto to the base of the coilpack. if this does not happen then you need to replace the coilpack first. take the 6 tork head screws out and remove the wiring under it that goes to the module. carefull not to mix up the wires under the coilpack or to the spark plugs. reinstall the coilpack and reinstall the plug wires and try to start the engine. i will look for a response incase you need more help. good luck.

ok i have one of these..common problems with these are coilpack,plugs.wires,starter soloniod,starter,battery  that should pretty much take care of itr oh and also if your main leads from starter to battery are rusted too much  creates a bad connection a well make sure to check ground wire too--z best best starter solonoied

replace IAC (idle air control valve) and replace coilpack,wires,plugs that should solve your jumping and reving.-z i have one i replced all above and have no problems scince

Slight miss when pulling out and light acceleration.

You probably have a bad coilpack - but lets not guess...
Take a voltmeter and check the resistance of the secondary terminals on the coilpack. These are the terminals under the plug wires on the coil. only remove two wires on the same coil at one time. check the resistabce on the terminals and it should be no higher than 15000 ohms. if you see any black powder or staining on the coil terminal when you remove the wire from it then you have to replace the coil AND the wires. don't waste your time replacing one without the other if you see the black under there.

Here is another test for bad wires. take a windex bottle of WATER and a tablespoon of table salt in it. start the engine and spray the plug wires from the coil to every plug you can get it on. turn off the lights arround the car so it's dark. look carefully and check to see of you see any arcing. this looks like mini-lightning bolts. look closely.
