Question about 2002 Buick Rendezvous
Battery good, new CAS , new ing/key coded by GMH Dealer. Changed coil pack complete and Fuel pump OK.Seems to have plenty fuel pressure at rail. Can I by-pass immobiliser .
Don't know if you have gotten it repaired by now, but if not my humble opinion is to suck it up and have it towed to the dealer. It will be expensive but in the long run you will probably save money and get it fixed. Had a similar experience and spent a small fortune on reputable private garages who could not fix it.

disconnect you battery. take something and fray back the plastic on the main hot wire on the coil. take another wire and wrapp it to the main wire you just frayed. now take that wire and run it to you ignition fuse. re connect you battery and see if your vehicle will start. if so than you have either a break or a short in you hot wire for your coil.

SOURCE: will start then dies
On the regals they have a ceramic resistor on the passanger side under the fender. It heats up and over time it tends to brake and the wire inside tends to rust away. The fuel pumps run in 2 different speeds. Had the same problem. Dealer only part yet the car would run and you would think it was the fuel pump. Turn the key it kicks on then start and dies out. Ceramic on the pass side would need replaced. It is white about 2-3 inches long or so held on with 2 bolts i do believe. Ill find a bulliten i found online to help me diagnos the problem. :) hopefully this helps someone out instead of spendin $$$ that ya cant afford with the recession eh?

Check ecm for number 1228253. If it has this one in it you will have a cutting off problem. Gm replaced these with #16198264 The cam sensor magnet on the cam gear will deteriorate and give problems. This will require removal of the timing cover.
