2005 Smart car roadster. The traction control light flashes intermitantly whilst driving the vehicle. This appears to have started since the vehicle had a fairly minor/moderate impact to the front when it collided with the rear of a van.

Hi

If you are getting the TC light flashing when
you are driving sensibly then the fault usually lies with the rear reluctor rings. These have a
tendency to split which gives an incorrect reading and the car believes it is skidding.

Try this website and follow the instructions given (http://www.evilution.co.uk/index.php?id=695)

Hope this helps.

This is possibly a normal system. The electronic stability program light will flash any time the system senses a slipping wheel. If there is a problem with the system the light will stay solid. I would still run have the e.s.p. module scanned for codes. Take a good look at your tires and make sure it has the right size tires and they are all in good/same condition. I hope I have been helpful.

Just like every other warning light on your vehicle, when a warning light is on, a trouble code is stored in the computer to tell you where to begin your diagnosis. Get the trouble code read.

I have a audi a4 2.4 2000 avant. a orange light came on . triangle with circle around it and this ! in the middle of it. please help

Yellow circle, with triangle and exclamation mark – The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) dashboard light flashes if the ESP or traction control is activated whilst driving. If ESP or traction control has been switched off, it will light up continuously. If ESP or traction control is not turned off and the warning light illuminates continuously, it indicates a problem and malfunction with either ESP or traction control.

Traction control light flashes and abs activates, slows car down, pulsates car

I would take it to someone who has a code reader, or to a dealer, I would not trust the vehicle for very far or very fast if you did have to drive it to where it will be worked on. It may even be safer to have it put on a rollback wrecker and taken to the shop.I don't like to make suggestions of driving a vehicle when it pertains to the braking system. I hope I have been of some assistance.

2000 Z3 2.0 Sudden onset misfiring with traction control light and EML light coming on. Happened as went over slight bump and noticed an odd smell ?burning which lasted a minute or so. Car starts fine but...

It sounds like you have a loose connection or wire somewhere, becuase you stated it started happening after you hit a bump which the jolt would cause movement in a component or wire causing some type of short or mis-connection to happen. I would check all wires, cables for loose or corroded connections, loose ground wires, especially battery and starter connections and tighten accordingly.

What does the master warning light mean? (triangel with ! and the three lights points to the car).

This light shows operational status of traction control system. If it is constantly lit when engine is running, this means that traction control system is off. If the light flashes during driving, it means the loss of traction at the wheels, and traction control system is operating- decreasing engine torque to stop exessive wheelspin.
Good luck.

Engine light is on, traction control light flashes on and off, rpm's rev up and down when car is started, was low on oil and coolant now full.

Take the vehicle to Auto Zone or another parts store and ask them to read the fault codes using the code reader they have. While you are there pick up the Haynes repair manual for your vehicle and look up what each codes means. The traction control light tells me you have a transmission problem that may be covered by warranty depending on your mileage. The rev'ing problem could be a bad sensor or related to a problem caused by on of the other codes as many ECM modules enter "Limp" mode in order to allow you to get the vehicle to a shop for service.

II have a 2005 a4 1.8 roadster first the traction light went on than the check engine and the car started spuddering and bucking when it goes over 20 mph any ideas

You have a turbo hose or vacuum hose leak, you need to trace that down..Any intake leaks will cause the traction/check engine lights to light up.
