SOURCE: need to find location of

Chrysler does not use a (MAF) Mass Air Flow sensor. They use a MAP ( Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor.

It is located on the intake manifold near where the throttle body bolts to it.

SOURCE: i have a 2005 dodge neon sxt. check engine light

go to a place that can hook your car up to a computer and see if that is the problem... if it is the problem, then you'll probably need to replace the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor which is attached to the air box where your air filter goes. it's called mass air flow because that's where all of your air is coming from. make's sense right? i have never actually seen a maf sensor go bad, but it might actually be your A/F sensor which is your air/fuel sensor which is right on the headers. hope this is helpful

2002 dodge neon idles very hi

Hi Donald, Inspect all the vacuum connections to all parts of the engine. Make sure all are tight and are not cracked or broken. Pay special attention to the ducting between the mass air flow sensor and the throttle body. If all are fine have a diagnostic scan carried out. That will report any other problem present. Regards John

My dodge neon shut off and wont start

What year? First check for spark at any of the sparkplugs. If you have spark and fuel pressure then take the mass air flow sensor off and clean the small thin wires inside with a non-chlronated brake cleaner and let it dry for 10-15 minutes then re-install it and see if it will start.

Hi there:

P0068 - MAF/MAP Sensor throttle correlation

I suggest to check the snorkel going to the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. Check for rips, cracks or if a tube has fallen off.

Hope helps.

2005 dodge neon, it has been jerking lately whenever i push the accelerator or the car has to go up a hill, or when im parked or stopped at a red light, has roughly 107,000miles on it

Here are 3 very common causes for the isuues you're having.

1. Dirty air filter.
2. Faulty MAF, ( mass air flow ), sensor.
3. Faulty oxygen sensor.

These 3 things prevent the on board computer from determining the proper fuel/air mix ratio, and leads to symtoms like, poor acceleration, poor MPG, loss of power, fack stalling, and stalling.

I hope this helps you.

I have a 2005 dodge neon sxt. check engine light is on. I believe it is the mass air sensor. where is it located and how do I replace it.

These are high dollar parts. The first thing I would do is look for vacuum leaks. Then I would remove the sensor and clean it with break clean, this doesn't leave a residue. the mass air flow sensor is between the air filter housing and the engine. it it a fairly large sensor. When you clean it don't use a brush on it. Just spray the inside of it both ways at the part that sticks down. I have not replaced a MAF sensor. Everytime the code comes up it is a vacuum leak or the sensor is just contaminated. But they are an electrical part and I know they can go bad. Try this first a $10.00 fix compared to $200.00
