SOURCE: bad misfire at idle

Hi, you need to go and have the check engine light looked at. without look at the engine light i would guess that the egr valve is either plugged or bad. the engine light should give you a good idea of the problem.

SOURCE: rough idle, engine light on. Have checked gas cap,

Since your check engine light is on, have you had it scanned? If not, take it to Autozone or Advanced to have it checked out. They do it for free and they will tell you why your light is on. It may be bad spark plugs/coils. It could be a idle or throttle sensor. If you get it read for codes, it will put you on the right path so you don't have to guess. There are many things that can cause a rough idle. Could be a bad injector or clogged fuel filter/air filter. The computer scan is your best bet. If you have a question, just let me know. I will help you as much as I can.

SOURCE: 2001 kia sportage engine light flashing, car

Hello, You can get a free scan at Autozone, Advance, or Oreillys. This will read what the "check" light is trying to tell you. All of the symptoms can be something the scanner can read. Check to see if your gascap is tight.

Rough idling and engine light flashjng on a 2009 kia berrego

A flashing check engine light means you have a catalyst damaging miss-fire. you will need to get the fault codes pulled so you can see what cylinder/cylinders are causing the problem. Once you have this information a diagnostic path can be determined.

your idle valve may be dirty or needs replacing would check this as it controls idle. sits on the intake with wires coming out of it.

Rough idle

This could be the O2 sensor or the MAF sensor. Try disconnecting the MAF sensor and if the idling seems normal, the MAF sensor is bad. Yet, it is always better to get the codes read if the CEL in blinking.

Idle good when cold, hotter it gets the worst it idles especially when sitting at stop lights

simple test for a vacuum brake booster
star and run the engine at idle without applying the foot brake
if it gets worse when the foot brake is applied , it is a vacuum leak in the booster ( replace the booster )
otherwise check for failed vacuum hoses including under dash control lines , vacuum leak at the manifold or EGR unit

2006 mercedes benz CLS500 rough idling

There are several reasons why the vehicle could be rough idling. If no check engine light is on and the vehicle feels like it's idling rough when you put it into gear. The transmission mount may be worn out which cause the vehicle to feel like it has a rough idle. Definitely at minimum you will feel the vibration when sitting in the vehicle.

Rough idling and poor fuel economy on 92ford f-150

This whole problem is most likey due to a sludged up intake and idle speed control valve, do the following procedure and it should take care of the problems, also run a couple of cans of LUCUS brand fuel injector cleaner through, I know u will see it is more expensive than other brands, but the thing is it works!
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls at stops and low erratic idle speed and rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake
