SOURCE: 2001 bmw 740il output speed sensor location

hello ryk786, i/m not a hundred percent certain, but I think the output speed sensor is located at the back of the transmission. With the pan removed, if you look at the valve body and see the EDS valves and connectors, look about 2 inches back toward the end of the case and you should see a connector by itself. There should be a retaining torx bolt and spring holding the sensor in place. After installing the new sensor, do not over-tightend the bolt. The torque should be around 5-6 Nm.

SOURCE: reset the wheel sensors on BMW e46

If you took this in and had BMW do the work to fix it and it is not fixed why do you not return to BMW and get it fixed, If you have paid for a repair and the repair did not solve the problem have them refund your money.

SOURCE: where is the speed sensor on a 2000 bmw 528i

There be one on each of your rear drive wheels.
If the speedometer and odometer do not work, the driver's side rear sensor is probably bad. If the speedometer works but the cruise control does not, then the passenger side rear sensor is probably bad.

SOURCE: where is the abs speed sensor on a 5 series bmw?

You have 4 wheel speed sensors. There is one at each wheel located just behind the hub. You can trace it by loacting the black insulated wire leading out from the wheel well and going behind the wheel.

Where is fuel trim bank 2 located on bmw 2000 740i bmw

Are you getting the code P0173 That would mean that the ECU was unable to set the correct mixture for cylinders 4-6 (bank 2). I'd guess that the most likely culprit for that failure would be a failing pre-cat O2 sensor based on the code alone. The pre-cat O2 sensors are a critical part of the feedback loop for mixture control. When an O2 sensor ages enough it no longer delivers a valid signal to the ECU, which can cause this fault. The only other component that will affect only bank 2 is the catalytic converter for that bank. Given relative costs of O2 sensors and catalytic converters I'd change out both pre-cat O2 sensors and see if that helps. FYI: O2 sensors are usually staring to fail at 80-90K.
