96 Firebird, Replaced water pump, fuel pump - Now blows head gasket.

Get yourself another mechanic. This guy is not doing his job. It shouldn't cost $1600 to change a water pump and fuel pump. No proper mechanic would remove a thermostat to replace the O-ring and put the old thermstat back in. It wouldn't be uncommon for the coolant level to drop after changing the thermostat. It probably only needs to be topped up. No, the motor doesn't have to come out to replace the head gasket and I don't see it costing $2500. Before you spend any more money there, take the car somewhere else and get another opinion. I bet that if you fill up the coolant bottle for 2 0r 3 days it will stop losing coolant. Hope this helps.

Who can i go to find if i have a blown head gasket on my 95 seville

you don't need to go anywhere, pull the oil dipstick when the engine is cold and see if you see a milk yellowish crud on it, that'll be water in the oil typical of a blown head gasket, or look into the water for the radiator with a flashlight, and see if you see and oily sheen in the water, that's oil in the water, both are symptoms of blown head gaskets

JEEP LIBERTY 2005 engine failure?

the laws vary by state. Check your lemon laws, with it only be 4 years old you may be able to get a repair history on it and have it lemoned out. Also, check with your dealership and see if there is anything they will do to retain your business. Also, read the fine print on your agreement, it may have a loophole in it you can get out on. a bad rod bearing sounds like it ran out of oil, check your oil and see if it has water in it or oil in the water, that would confirm the blown head gasket.

YOu really dont have alot of options, you pretty much at the mercy of the dealership. I had bought a bad car once and the dealer was willing to take it back for what I paid, however mine did stil run.

Blown head gasket

It depends on the severity of the blow, and the distance to the other dealer, less than a couple miles should be okay, Just make sure you got plenty of water in the radiator. Any further and I'd rather tow it! You don't want to save on towing costs and pay more for damages later! Hope that helps!
