The first thing you will need to check is the fuel shutoff that is located in the trunk on the left hand side. This was designed to shutoff the fuel in an accident with a roll condition.

SOURCE: 94 lincoln continential charger system light blinking

Most reputable chain shops will test your alternator FREE, call around to Pep Boys, Autozone, etc and ask if they will.
Most of these problems are just poor maintenance, corroded battery terminals, aged battery.  Get someone to clean and tighten your battery connections and have that alternator tested if the problems persist.

Where does a crank sensor sit on a 1996 lincoln continential

It is located down by crankshaft. If you follow the spark plug wires down to the coilpack & module. Then from module straight to crank sensor

Charger system light keeps blinking

this problem is caused by a faulty alternator and or the alternator connector has been overheated from running with a low battery, how do i know this, 20 years as a Ford dealer Technician almost solely doing electrical work, saw this blinking light issue many times.
