Check the tubes coming off of the turbo, through the aftercooler (like a radiator in the front of the car) and back to the intake. Sometimes a section comes apart.

My buddy was messing with my boost ajuster and now my turbo glows red hot y

I guess he has it spinning at higher rate for more boost to intake. Unless you are an experienced tuner you should never touch such things. You need guages to measure boost an opening a few screws, or messing with numbers on computer cant destory parts. To much exhaust more boost an you will cook it shortly. Some turbos do glow at times but sounds like he should put it back.

Turbo / Boost Issues

Sounds like a faulty boost pressure sensor or waste gate. I would check the waste gate first. Sounds like it is opening to soon and letting the boost out, than regaining again.

My turbo on my f250 is using more power going down a flat streatch of road and even more going up a hill or slight incline. What would cause the increase of power to the turbo.

Your turbo is using more power??? Do you mean it is giving more boost? The turbo runs off of exhaust gasses. It doesn't use any "engine" power to operate. Any engine operation that will cause more exhaust gasses will make the turbo spin faster and provide more boost.

Mk3 Supra Turbo Boost Gauge Problems

The gauge is working fine, the turbo will not kick in untill the engine is spinning fast enough, as the turbo is propelled by exaughst from the engine. So, you can drive around normal and never use the turbo, and climb in the gas and spool the turbo up, what you are noticing is called turbo lag, which is the biggest down fall when compaired to superchargers!

Turbo spins but there is no boost

Turbos are fairly simple pieces of equipment and the failure almost always happens in the bearings. It sounds to me like one or both bearings are shot and aren't allowing the impeller to spin up properly. You'll need a rebuild or a new/reconditioned turbo.

Turbo not working properly, it seems to only go so far then you can hear air rushing out

check the wastegate vacuum diaphragm+hose and wastegate bypass regulator valve and boost pressure recirculation valve.make all hoses is tight.if you losing power remove the turbo check to make sure turbine is turning.if its not spinning fast you will hear air noise.hitting turbine blades.

Complete loss of boost

Yup your turbo is toast, ive had the same thing happen on a nissan skyline. The smoke you describe is the oil escaping from the turbo core and burning off in the dump pipe.Even though you managed to get the nut back on the compressor wheel the damage to your exhaust wheel, bearings and shaft is already done, chances are you'l be missing a few fins in the exhaust wheel to say the least, it would've propelled itself in the exhuast housing probably spinning at atleast 25,000 rpm.The turbo in the gt4 is a stong unit, just how much boost were you running? :)
