While replacing the battery for my 2000 MPV I connected the positive and negative incorrectly so a fuse blow up and the van does not get and electrical connection , which fuse I need to replace

Not only will you need to replace fuses that have blown you may also have to replace every electrical component as they really don't like the polarity being reversed it burns out components inside them some of the electrical parts may be repairable if you are lucky
wiring may have burned out as well so it will need to be checked as well
every wire needs continuity and resistance checks and visual inspection

I need a wiring diagram for a 1987 Caprice LS Brougham behind the dash from side to side all the way to the fuse box. I keep blowing fuses and don't know why.

Because there is a direct short to ground , which fuse ? You need to find what all the fuse powers , then isolate circuits . (Disconnect) Put in a new fuse and hook up components one at a time till fuse blow's . Finding electrical shorts videos on youtube and you can find wiring diagrams at

Why is there complete electrical failure?

That's a good question! But unfortunately one we cannot answer. Why? Because you have not given us anything to work with. We don't know the manufacturer, the year, the model, or the engine size of the vehicle. We don't know what you were doing when this occurred. We don't know what you may have done to determine what went wrong. So unless we were standing next to you when this happened, all we know is that you have "total electrical failure", whatever that encompasses. Give us more to go on and maybe we can help!

Show how to replace power outlet fuse for 2006 Toyota Camry

Interior Fuse Box Location 2002 2006 Toyota Camry 2006 Toyota Camry LE 2...

The video above shows how to replace blown fuses in the interior fuse box of your 2006 Toyota Camry in addition to the fuse panel diagram location. Electrical components such as your map light, radio, heated seats, high beams, power windows all have fuses and if they suddenly stop working, chances are you have a fuse that has blown out. If your Camry is experiencing electrical problems, you should always check the fuses first, because they are relatively easy to check and cheap to change. Some Toyotas have multiple interior fuse boxes including in the trunk - the video above will show you where the interior fuse box of your 2006 Camry is located. If your Camry has many options like a sunroof, navigation, heated seats, etc, the more fuses it has. Some components may have multiple fuses, so make sure you check all of the fuses that are linked to the component in question.
If you need to replace a blown fuse in your Camry, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse. If checking and replacing the fuse for the component in question doesn't work, we recommend seeking assistance from a trusted professional mechanic. They should be able to figure out if the component needs to be replaced or if there is a short or some other problem with your Camry.

Good Luck

When a fuse blows on any product-- you don't replace it

or short to ground & correct the wiring or component problem

Usually need wiring diagrams,a volt meter & some skills

I have a 2003 mitsubishi lancer. Everytime I try to turn my key from the ignition to start my car my fuse 4 (40A) blows up I replaced it twice but the new fuse just keeps blowing up:/ what's going on?...

There is a major electrical fault that keeps blowing the fuse. The fuse protects that part of the electrical circuit, 40 amps is heavy electrical circuit, it it wasn't protected by a fuse it car could catch on fire.
You need to get an auto electrician or your Mitsubishi service center to locate the fault and repair.
If you had a wiring diagram for your car then you can trace the wiring from the 40A fuse to the various components to locate the wiring fault or component fault.

There is an electrical problem in which the Fuel door, the interior lights and the hatch on my 2000 vw golf will function for a split second as I replace the fuse and it blows out. Do you know what I need...

You could apply the 'Smoke Test" .... but that will only show you 'where' the short is located.!

...but need a electrical tech' or at least a tech' who knows your vehicle.

You have a dead short in the BATT+ wire from the fuse block to one of those items you mentioned or to a component also supplied with power from that fuse.

The convertible top is prime suspect as wires get jammed under the back seat.

Do not install a heavier rated fuse. You could start a fire. Seek professional help.
