Question about 1992 Cadillac Allante
Back in the 90's we experience many differant car lines with this problem, particularly on the AM band. The culprit could be corrosion at antenna connection on the radio. Once this is cleaned, the problem is solved. The connections at the rear are obvious. On the Allante, there is a preamp/tuner box that is accessed by removing the glovebox. It's pretty easy to get to. On that module, there is an antenna connection.
If still this doesn't solve the problem then possibly it could be the receiver try replacing it with a new one and this would solve your problem.Hope my solution helped you please rate me if it to somewhat extent.
